Two Brand Spanking New iPads Are Coming This September
Are you ready for this? New iPads are coming this September! At this moment in time, the only specification we know about these iPads is that it features a bulbous square camera bump. The new Mac Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro with an all-new keyboard are expected to be in the market this fall as well.
According to AppleInsider, Apple has filed two regulatory entries in the Eurasian Economic Commission (a reliable source of confirmation for unreleased products), so we are expecting two new iPads soon.
New iPad Models
The website only reveals the expected model numbers, which means there is no further information on whether the devices that will soon hit the market are new iPad, iPad Air, iPad mini, or iPad Pro.
Last spring, Apple released a new iPad mini and Air and so, the arriving iPad and iPad Pro got new updates. The latest update of the 9.7-inch iPad was in March 2018 and the 11- and 12.9-inch iPad Pros in fall 2018.
New specifications are expected to be in the iPad Pro. New iPhones are rumored to be featuring a new A13X chip based on the A13 chip and more advanced cameras.
The most interesting rumor circulating technology world is the 9.7-inch iPad. One of the best deals Apple has to offer! Reports are claiming Apple might replace the entry-level iPad with a bigger model with a 10.2-inch screen that’s faster and much more capable. While the idea of a bigger screen is somewhat surprising and would be good, however, it would mess up the current iPad selection and make it harder to choose based on display size.
Retail Prices
Below are what the current iPad pricing looks like:
• $399, 7.9-inch iPad mini (2019)
• $329 9.7-inch iPad (2018)
• $499 10.5-inch iPad Air 3 (2019)
• $799 11-inch iPad Pro (2018)
• $999 12.9-inch iPad Pro (2018)
The retail for the new 10.2-inch iPad would be around in between the $329 9.7-inch iPad and $499 iPad Air 3. If it replaces the 9.7-inch iPad permanently, Apple could either keep the cost the same at $329 or charge a little more for the bigger screen maybe $349 and raise the starting cost for an iPad.
If the 10.2-inch iPad arrives and joins the current iPad family, then we can expect at a tablet that will have a market price between $329 and $499. So, it will be something like $349, $379, $399, or even $429.
Honestly, we can see that many consumers wouldn’t buy the iPad Air 3 since the difference between it and a 10.2-inch iPad is just 0.3 inches.
The opportunity to have all iPad series is excellent but is it worth it? Do we need many iPads? Apple is well-known for the simplicity of their technology, not just in their product design but options as well. But now it’s different as the selection is getting too packed.
