The photo app with artificial intelligence, Prisma, became an instant sensation which got was dubbed “App of the Year” by both Google and Apple. Social networks have been saturated with photos that are artistically crafted since its release last June. Prisma offers to convert your most mundane photos into colorful works of art using its artificial intelligence neural network. It has an artillery of impressive filters that apply the technique of masters like Van Gogh and Picasso.
The “art filter” app has over 30 filters available to transform your photos and scans the data in the photo to better apply filters that will always impress. After a few months of release, the photo editing app released another feature that allows users to turn their video clips into instant animation.
Despite its popularity, the app didn’t have much to offer and there were no big feature to boast about. Well, that all has changed, here are the changes you can look forward to when you update your Prisma Photo App:

Square

The update has improved its photo resolution giving users more flexibility when it comes to cropping their photos. It now has twice the resolution compared to the 1:1 of the older version. This allows for better image quality and versatility. This was formerly a downside of the application where there photos were restricted into a square box. Users can now create high resolution photos and use the camera mode’s living art-work.

Location

It is now geotagged making your photos location-based. This actually uses an algorithm that will display the photos from other Prisma users in your immediate vicinity. Liking a photo will enlarge its circle of viewers allowing your artwork to travel from one mobile (and location) to another until it has circled the world. You can also see an interactive map to see where photos are taken and where were they liked. You will also be able to discover the best liked photo and the best photo in your location and help it go around the world.

Sharing

The new update now turns the app into its own self-contained photo sharing platform. Instead of sharing your photos on other social media sites, the update now provides another way of sharing your masterpieces making it its own self-contained photo sharing platform. The usual way of sharing your photos is still available, the only difference is you will be able to create your own Prisma account and share your photos with other Prisma users. The news feed feature will allow users to view the work of others and even vote on the ones they like giving everyone a mobile museum. The new statement is to bring your photos to everyone in the world and not just your immediate circle.
This update is now available for iOS and Android users and all they have to do is head over to the App Store to either download the app of just click update to get the new features to try. It is safe to expect that this application will blow other social networking apps out of the competition, as well as beat Facebook Live with its filter options. Its ability to share its own photos will soon get its own following that boosts engagement with your photos. The concept of having your photos circle the world through those closest to you presents a future that it will no longer rely on third-party applications. It is now able to compete with the likes of Facebook and Instagram and will possibly take the internet by storm. As the features expand, the users and followers of this application will further expand. Or so one hopes.
